چکیده
Introduction/Objective. Ovarian carcinomas are the deadliest gynecological tumors. Despite advances in treatment options, survival rates still not at desired level. Since clinical signs typical early-stage disease, 2/3rd of patients diagnosed late. Carbohydrate Antigen 125 (CA125) does have sufficient sensitivity and specificity disease early post-relapse progression. There is a need for simple cost-effective marker that correlates with CA125. For this purpose, we aimed to evaluate potential systemic inflammatory markers? as diagnostic aids. Methods. Patients platinum-sensitive recurrent ovarian were preferred because options more diverse than resistant group. Using retrospective data collection, 105 carcinoma, admitted last four years included study. Complete blood count was recorded based on recurrence progression periods. Results. When immune index (SII) values evaluated combination CA125 terms during control visits after treatment, detection proportions increased 97.5%, which 82.9% when only used. On other hand, false positivity, 18.5% alone, decreased 2.5% combined SII. Furthermore, neutrophil lymphocyte ratio, WBC, showed correlations high values. Conclusion. The SII value could be used together it easy use, accessible, has low cost practice, well increase accuracy rate make precise corrections positivity rate.

Differential outcome of MEK1/2 inhibitor-platinum combinations in platinum-sensitive and -resistant ovarian carcinoma cells.
Deregulated pro-survival signalling plays a role in ovarian carcinoma drug resistance. Here, we show that cisplatin or oxaliplatin in combination with the MEK1/2 inhibitor CI-1040 resulted in a synergistic effect associated with enhanced apoptotic response in platinum-sensitive cells. The drug combinations were additive in platinum-resistant cells exhibiting increased phospho-ERK1/2, down-regul...
متن کاملplatinum sensitivity as an independent prognostic factor in patients with brain metastases from ovarian carcinoma
background : the brain is a rare site of metastases from ovarian cancer. limited data are available on prognostic factors, standard treatment, and survival. knowledge of clinical prognostic factors would help the management of patients with brain metastases. the aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of clinical factors and treatment modalities on survival in patients with brain metastases...
متن کاملPrognostic and Predictive Clinical, Pathological and Molecular Markers for Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma: review of articles
Approximately 90% of all head and neck malignancies and 94% of oral malignancies are squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Tobacco smoking is considered as the most important causative agent for SCC. Despite aggressive and multidisciplinary treatment approaches, there has been no significant improvement in 5-year survival over the past 20 years. Several prognostic and predictive clinical, pathological...
متن کاملPrognostic Values of Estrogen and Progesterone Expression Receptors in Ovarian Papillary Serous Carcinoma
Background and Objectives: Presence of steroid hormone receptors (estrogen and progesterone) in the tumor tissues of various organs correlates with response to therapy and prognosis. Since their role in ovarian cancer is still controversial, in this study we investigated the expression and prognostic value of the estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptors (PR) in ovarian papillary ser...
متن کاملPrognostic molecular markers in hepatocellular carcinoma (Review article
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the 5th commonest malignancy worldwide and is the third most common cause of cancer-related death. The prevalence is different in the world. The ability to predict patients at higher risk of recurrence and with a poor prognosis would help to guide surgical and chemotherapeutic treatment according to individual risk. As understanding of hepatocarcinogenesi...
